Tesco Mobile partnered with One Green Bean and Internet Matters to address growing concerns about children's online safety, specifically misinformation. They launched a £200,000 grant for primary schools to enhance online safety education.

The "Phoney Friends" campaign, featuring gaming influencer Angry Ginge, made misinformation tangible for young audiences through an interactive film. This educational tool, integrated into classrooms, helped make complex issues relatable.

Results

The campaign generated over 3 million social views, 266+ earned media pieces, and significantly boosted grant applications and school registrations, driving real-world educational impact and lasting behavioural change.
